Big isn't always better ! June 8, 2009 Eric L. Willson (Jamestown,CA.) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
With a 12 year old ,31cc Ryobi grass trimmer,I really didn't expect the Poulan Pro tiller attachment to do a lot of work...but any power combo is better than a shovel !
Hooking up to the quick link system went smoothly,as did carrying the assembled unit to the winter old garden plot. A few pulls of the starter rope, and I was dig'n dirt.Holding about 3/4 throttle in the semi-hard soil and letting the weight of the tiller work it's way down to about 4 inches then pulling it back to me worked best. Fifteen minutes and I had tilled a 16" wide by 20 foot strip, ready for planting. The Poulan Pro is well made, sturdy and a great investment .

Yeah that's real good... August 9, 2008 D. Hamilton (West Palm Beach, FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product works surprisingly well. I am a professional landscaper and I bought the Poulan w/attachments for my business. The tiller attachment is solid like a tank. Did I mention it makes quick work of flower beds and weeds? All of our new accounts we like to give an initial shock on the first cut, this thing digs out flowerbeds so well, they don't even want the mulch! LOL. This thing is great, it is small enough to dig out the beds and powerful enough to extend them when necessary. I wouldn't try to dig up an entire yard with it, but it has done a small back yard for me (saved me $200), and even some soft stumps from bushes (another $200). Grade A product.
Cultivator a winner! May 8, 2009 Mark G. Press (Twin Cities, MN, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was quite pleased with the Poulan Pro weed trimmer that I purchased last year, and was hopeful with the purchase of the matching cultivator. It has not disappointed me! In preparing a new garden for use, this cultivator has gone "above and beyond" the call of duty. I would heartily recommend it (not for large gardens, but for small gardens and yard use it is terrific).
Fantastic tiller for the home owner September 13, 2009 R. K. Marsh (Michigan, USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Using this with the small 23 cc engine still makes for a fine cultivator ... thought for sure I would need the larger engine for working my 90 by 30 garden. I do have a sandy loam soil, but when started there were 1 foot weeds and large mats of grass. This just tore it up! Within 60 minutes, it was looking like new ... later tillings with much less severe conditions, took about 15 minutes for $70 it is quicker and more powerful than PTO driven 20 hp garden tractor tiller cultivator. I think it is the very high speed and thin blades that make this little guy cut and go.
I sure wouldn't recommend this to a guy that has an acre or two to cultivate, but for a normal (?) sized garden, it is truly amazing. In fact for the heck of it, I torn up a 6 by 6 patch of very dense sod, another 10-15 minute job ... I suppose treating this Cultivator this way on a regular basis, might be a bit much to expect ... but how often do you tear up your sod?
I do want to raise the caveat that I'm sandy loam, not hard dry clay ... can't predict that situation (but I bet you would get more than $70 worth of tilling out of the Cultivator ... after you broke up the hard stuff.
Awesome April 27, 2009 J. SWINDLE (Birmingham AL) This product is awesome, it works really well for flower beds and also for weeding out a garden. I am extremely satisfied with my tiller and I know you will be to.
